2008

We are ringing in the New Year by ourselves. We decided as our last New Years alone we would stay at home and enjoy the festivities from our nice warm calm house. I am very excited about it cause it means that 2008 (One of the worst years ever in my life and at my work) is over and we are that much closer to holding our little girl in our arms. It has been a rough year for our family and for some of our friends. We will never forget the ones we have lost but right now we are looking forward to the new life God has given us. God bless and keep each of you safe on a very dangerous night. We love you!

Nya Mechele

Nya Mechele
So we went in on Christmas Eve and had our ultrasound and we are having a little GIRL!!!! I was shocked and scared but Brad is happy. He says little girls are so much cuter than little boys. We had already picked out names for both so we did not have to worry about doing all that afterward. Her name is Nya Mechele. She weighs 8 oz and the doctor said she could not be more perfect. There was nothing that could have gone any better. She was moving up a storm and I can not wait to be able to feel all her little movements. I think Brad is a lot more involved now that her was there to see her. He said it was better than seeing the pictures since they are often hard to tell what you are looking at but the ultrasound tech was explaining every little detail. We got it on DVD for our parents to see since they wanted to go but couldn't and he has been showing off the video and pics. He is even planning to design Nya a website when she is born to post all her pics and videos (since we got a camcorder for Christmas) so that all of our family that are out of town can watch "his little girl" grow. Well I gotta go shopping for girl stuff since all I have is boy.

12/16 Doc appointment.

Doctors appointment today
Well I called this morning to talk to the nurse about how I have been feeling and she said I needed to be seen today. Mel took me in like the good sister she is and we found out a few things.
1) my blood presure is good
2) my Iron is a little low so I have to take some iron supplements
3) My blood sugar was really low at 72. They said it needs to be at least 100.
This explains why I have been so tired. Now I have to go from eating every 2-3 hours to every 1-2 and eating more protein and fruits. Even when I am not hungry. Oh and the 5lbs I reported gaining at the last appointment well in the last 6 days I have lost it all. Luckily Betsey said she was not going to yell at me since I was under enough stress but I had to start eating.
I should have known that any child of mine would be causeing problems this early. lol But I love it all the same.

12/10 doc appointment

12/10 doc appointment Category: Life
So I went to see the new OB today. I got to hear my little ones heart beat at 148. Wow I wish I could feel it moving but as of yet there is nothing. Oh well the big anatomy scan where they check all the organs as well as the sex of the baby will be done on Christmas Eve morning. I do not even care about Christmas right now I just want it to get here so I can have the u/s. I can not belive that this is really real. It is amazing. Every time I look at my growing belly I think about the little baby that is there and hope I am doig everything right to make it happy while it is inside me. I will update everyone in 2 weeks!
